Specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Universtiario 12 de Octubre (Madrid) (Department Head: Dr. Montalvo Moreno). Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Munich (Germany) with Prof. M. Ehrenfeld.

Surgical specialist in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and part of the Craneofacial Surgery Unit at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre (2003-2019).

Surgical specialist at the Instituto Maxilofacial Acero and Quiron hospital (2004-2015).

At present, he is the head of the Department of Odontology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesús, as well as of the Department of Oral, Maxillofacial and Craneofacial Surgery at the Hospital Señora del Rosario (Madrid).

  • Associated professor of the School of Dentistry of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid) (2007-2010). International faculty member of AO/CMF since 2008 and member of the ESA AOCMF board between 2016 and 2020. Fellow of the European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (EBOMFS).
  • Invited speaker to multiple national and international conferences, with more than 100 international presentations on cranio-maxillofacial surgery. Author of more than 20 chapters on cranio-maxillofacial surgery in both nationally as well as internationally published books.
  • Member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IAMOS) and of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). Regional and international faculty member of the AOCMF.
Areas of interest

Facial malformations and deformities, craniosynostosis, facial clefts, cleft lip/palate, osteogenic distraction, orthognathic surgery, oncology and microvascular reconstruction, periprosthetic surgery and dental implant.
